Another MTV Twilight Awards come and gone. I got all my wishes: a sweep of the awards, lots of airtime, and red carpet pics of the Stew. Yeah, there was a lot of pissing and moaning during and after the show; but there always is in this fandom. The majority are never satisfied, and if Rob had dropped trou and Kristen had blown him on stage there would still be some people complaining there was no penetration the next day.
Other than the first one, I think this was probably the best MTV Twilight Awards yet. Sure, if it hadn’t heavily featured my guilty pleasure I would have found it the most ridiculous, cheese-ball, waste-of-time extravaganza ever. But Rob and the Stew have a tendency to make a lot of things more bearable. Like shiteous award shows, and bungled screen plays. Why did I love these awards so much? Find out after the cut…
There’s been a lot of buzz on the Interwebs about the Breaking Dawn teaser trailer that was somehow leaked early debuted at the MTVMAs on Sunday. I’m a little late to the party here, but unfortunately other unicorn-ish business has kept me from putting my thoughts down. A quick recap of the key points that stood out for me in the trailer:

In the past, I have loved all of Kristen’s looks at the MTV Movie Awards. She always wears the appropriate ensemble which is never over done, over dressed and overly fussy. Last night was no different!! Kristen rocked a Balmain deep red mini dress that was embellished with studs, crystals and safety pins. The deep jewel tone flattered Kristen’s creamy complexion. I loved the fit of the dress and of course it showed off Kristen’s best asset, her legs! Kristen wore her hair loose and wavy, which was just perfect for a casual evening. And in typical Kristen fashion, she changed her black platform pumps into sneakers to accept her Best Kiss and Best Female Performance awards. It completely reminded me of the MTV Movie Awards of 2009. I thought Kristen looked happy, confident, sexy, and relaxed all at the same time, which to me, is a successful dressing night!
It’s that very special time of year. An epic celebration for all Twilighters and Rob and Kristen fans. While we’re not totally confident that some aspects of the results aren’t riggedadjusted by MTV for entertainment and shock value. (Zefron beating Rob in an award people can vote for? I’m sure.) We are confident that MTV is aware of the amount of people watching the show specifically for Twilight and our dynamic duo, and perhaps Taylor. Our organization and enthusiasm are hard to beat. There has been the usual amount of vociferous vote cheerleading and strong-arming. Bless them. As I write this it’s within the last 15 minutes of voting and click desperation is high! We also need to savor these last few years of Robstenmas. Sure, we’ve got two more movies to go, however after that the chances of us getting this kind of spotlight on our guilty pleasures together at the same time will become a rare and hot commodity.
We all have dreams and expectations for what we want to happen. Personally I’ll be satisfied with lots of air time, a sweep in all nominations, and some red carpet pics (together or separately) wouldn’t go amiss. All the h00rs have different fantasies though. So what can we expect Sunday? If they win, Rob and Kristen could very definitely decide to joke with us and make some goofball display on stage to accept their award, like in 2010. Or maybe they will be completely out of character and decide to let it all hang out and really kiss. Personally, I’m rooting for the latter. Crossing my fingers! All the way to Sunday…
How can we do a countdown to the MTV MA’s without including the infamous Charlie Hotel day after pics?! June 1st 2009, Rob and Kristen were spotted saying goodbye outside the Charlie Hotel before Rob jetted to NYC to film Remember Me. I’ll never forget when these pictures hit the internet!
It’s the first time Rob and Kristen took the stage for the ‘Best Kiss’ award. Rob and Kristen both looked like sex that night. *fans-self* This is where we got the infamous fake-out kiss. I remember sitting at the edge of my seat literally screaming at the tv. I don’t think there has ever been a hotter “almost kiss” ever! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us this Sunday night!!!
Oh man o man…my favorite time of year!!! MTV knows where their bread is buttered. And thank God for that really b/c it benefits us so much! This coming Sunday are the 2011 MTV Movie Awards and you know our bb’s are nominated yet again for several awards inc luding our fave, BEST KISS. Will they both be there? Will they win? WILL THEY KISS?! (for real this time)
