Photographers Week Day 6: Patrick Demarchelier & Stuart Shining
Today I am featuring two photographers, Patrick Demarchelier and Stuart Shining. Patrick Demarchelier shot Kristen for a Vogue Magazine spread last year. The cover ultimately went to Blake Lively. but I think this particular of photo is so strong , so fierce. He legs look amazing! It is a potrait of a modern, strong, woman. I loved the outfit in this magazine so much, that I actually bought the Isabel Marant skirt! I did not look half as good as Kristen did though. Demarchelier is a legendary, French born fashion photographer who’s work has graced the pages of Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, and many fashion advertising campagins such as Louis Vuitton, Revlon, Calvin Klein and Versace. His cover of Harper’s Bazaar with model Linda Evangelista is one of my all time favorite fashion covers. You can see more of his work HERE.
Stuart Shining photographed Rob for the Italian Vanity Fair. This cover and pictorial is one of Rob’s best. His arms! His jaw! His eyes! Wow. These pics are “Rob” to me. Shining is a New York based photographer, who studied at the Parsons School of Design. His work has appeared in Sports Illustrated, People, Vanity Fair, and Vogue. He has shot ad campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, Express, J. Crew and Ralph Lauren.
He also serves on the board of the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation. To learn more about Stewart Shining, click HERE.
