RLC Fic Rec – Letters to Isabella
Happy New Year, everybody!
Not a lot of time to read this week, what with work and celebrations, but I did manage to start a new fic that was recced from another TwiFic website. The story is Letters to Isabella by writersinmydreams007.
Author’s synopsis: She’s trapped in a life of lies and sex. He’s lonely and has shut himself off from the world. Lust brings them together. Lies can pull them apart. AH/AU Rated M for lemons and adult themes.
So can you guess from that summary what this fic is about? Edward is a lonely doctor who sees Bella one day in the street. He’s lovestruck, follows her around and winds up at her job, which is…at a brothel. Bella is a prostitute! Does he care? Nope. In fact, he becomes a regular visitor. Bella is pretty much stuck in this job too since it pays so well and her mother is very sick. Although you get lemons right away, what I really like about this story is that the scenes between Edward and Bella have very little dialogue. And it’s not because they’re busy doing it (thought that is happening too). You get both of their POV’s but it’s thoughts on each other. After all, she’s worried she’s feeling more for a client than is platonic, and he is becoming more and more obsessed with her.
During this time Bella receives anonymous love letters. Very short but poignant. Mysterious sender is not so mysterious to us readers 
. Alice and Rosalie work with her at the brothel, named Midnight Sun. Jasper and Emmett are Edward’s brothers. Only 13 chapters have posted on this fic so far, but drama is on the horizon; Jasper is the Chicago DA and is investigating Midnight Sun, to bring it down. Edward knows all of this and quickly decides he needs to get Bella out of there. The story seems headed towards a Pretty Woman scenario. So far it’s great, and I cannot wait to see how it all plays out. Hope you enjoy it!
