RLC Fic Rec – My Perfect Mr Imperfect
First and foremost, this fic I’m reccing you today is an Edward and Bella story. I promise! lol. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, this story does not start out that way. This story starts out with Bella mooning over her ex-boyfriend, Jasper. She still misses him, she still loves him. He eclipses *snicker* all, even his friend Edward who only has eyes for…you guessed it! Bella. In a nutshell this is My Perfect Mr Imperfect by xrxdanixrx
Author’s synopsis: Bella wanted Mr. Perfect, but he didn’t want her. When Mr. Imperfect comes along, can she look close enough to see just who is more perfect for her? A story about falling in love with the imperfections. AH – Rated M for lemons later.
I know there are a lot of hardcore Edward and Bella only readers out there. I am one of them. But I love angsty fics, where either one of them are pining away for the other one. And I love reading about them falling for one another. This is a perfect story to get both of these things. Bella and Edward couldn’t be more different from each other too, but like always, they’re drawn to one another like magnets. It takes Bella a while to get there but she does. You have the regular cast of characters in this story with canon couples, eventually. It’s a work in progress with only 13 chapters posted so far, but it’s well written and angsty and so romantic! And a clumsy, love struck Edward is adorable! I don’t believe I have read an Edward like this before. He is a bit of a mystery to the reader b/c this entire story is in Bella’s POV. I didn’t mind this at all. Despite her infatuation with Jasper I thought Bella was very relatable. And I really liked Rosalie and Emmett. Believe it or not, the only negative to this story are Jasper and Alice. Jasper is a little bitch and Alice is extremely annoying. I’m honestly always tempted to skip her scenes. But even with that, this is a great story. Not a very popular one so far, but a very worthy read.
