Kristen’s Top 5 Looks of 2010
I love fashion. I’ve been meaning to do a fashion post for a while now, but always seem to get distracted by something else. In the past year, Kristen has really emerged as a style icon and a trendsetter among Hollywood actresses. She has a fantastic figure, legs for days, and amazing skin, so she looks great in anything she puts on. I picked the five looks from this year that I thought really shined and put her among the fashion elite. Let me know in the comments if you agree or if I left something off. There were a lot of looks to choose from, and this post could’ve went to 10 looks, but Christmas shopping is taking up my extra time! So here they are in ascending order:
5 – New York – The Runaways Premiere
Kristen wore an Emilio Pucci sequined, strapless mini to the March 17th premiere of “The Runaways” in New York. This dress was a “dazzler” for me. I have never seen Kristen wear sequins before, especially in color. It is a silhouette that
Kristen is comfortable with - short & strapless – but the design and sparkle made it interesting and new. I loved her hair and makeup, too. The hot-pink lips were killer, and all that was needed with this dress. She topped it off with hot Sergio Rossi Peep-Toe Pumps.

4 – 2010 Scream Awards
She wore an emerging designer named Guishem for the 2010 Spike TV Scream Awards. This geometrical dress was from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection. The fit was spectacular on her; coming and going she looked amazing. When she walked on stage with her hair blowing in the wind and her long gams strutting their stuff, you knew that she loved this dress too. Stew was beaming, and she had every reason to because she looked stunning. It was youthful and perfect for this type of award show. She also wore an enviable pair of Giuseppe Zanotti platform pumps. This was also the first time we saw her new “Bella” hair which was freshly dyed from her On The Road blonde color. She kept it loose and wavy which was perfect with this structured dress. I loved it!

3 – New York – Welcome to the Riley’s Premiere
To the New York Premiere of Welcome to the Riley’s, Kristen wore a lace, corsage, asymmetrical cocktail dress from Valentino’s Resort 2011 Collection. I was floored! I had never seen this type of look on her before. She reminded me of Natalie Portman in this dress for some reason. It was classic, elegant, and tailored. In other words: simply DIVINE! Her makeup and skin were luminous, with a very simple red lip stain. She completed the look with a simple black satin, Brian Atwood pump. It was a perfect look for the fall, Manhattan evening.

2 – LA – ‘Eclipse’ Premiere
Kristen’s look for the LA Eclipse Premiere may have been her most anticipated. For her turn on the carpet, she chose a short, one sleeved, asymmetrical Elie Saab stunner. The dress was from the Fall 2009 Couture Collection. It was beaded brocade, and what I loved about this dress was the texture. It was so unique. I know this dress had mixed reviews, but I loved it. The back of the dress is what won me over. The shoes were, of course, divine Christian Louboutin Suede pumps.
It hugged her body in all the right places. Her butt looked amazing, and I am sure Rob agreed! I also loved how she coordinated with Rob on this one: her nail polish was a deep maroon/burgandy which matched his suit. He was in a warm maroon velvet, and Kris complimented him in her cool white ensemble. Fire and Ice together on the carpet. LOVED IT!
She looked confident with her man and in control of the carpet.

1 – 2010 Oscars
This was my absolute favorite look of the year for Kristen. It was her first time as a presenter at the ceremony, and I thought this dress was just brilliant! It was a mermaid silhouette by Monique Lhuillier, who is famous for her wedding dresses. It showed off her awesome curves and hugged her body beautifully. It was also not the usual short mini dress that we expect from her. In fact, I don’t think we’ve seen her wear a long dress since the New Moon premiere when she wore that sparking Oscar de la Renta.
The dark navy color worked perfectly with Kristen’s creamy skin, a fantastic contrast of light and dark. Her up-do showed off the gorgeous sweetheart neckline and the intricate tailoring and gathering on the dress. Kristen never wears heavy jewelry, but for the Oscars she wore a bit of bling! An H. Stern white-gold & diamond bangle bracelet adorned her wrist. Just beautiful!! I thought she was dressed just brilliantly for Hollywood’s elite and carried herself amazingly well in that nerve-wrecking situation. I also loved that she kicked off her shoes, lit’rally, for the Vanity Fair after party. So Kristen, so normal, so like us, which is why we love her.

**** Stay tuned for next week’s post when we break down Rob’s top looks from 2010****

Fantastic!! I love all of your choices. Another dress that I loved on Kristen is the pink number she wore at The Runaways premiere in L.A. That was a really nice splash of color and also made her complexion pop.
I couldn’t agree more, there are so many looks to choose from! I love your top 5.
Nice choices, I always have a hard time choosing my favorite dress that she´s worn! I´m for example missing the black dress she wore at the WTTR screening in june.
I’ve been looking forward to this post! I love the choices you made and really enjoyed your commentary on the clothing and make-up. One of my fav things about Kristen is how eclectic she can be with style. She can carry off funky, elegant, simple, you name it! can’t wait to see what else she wears this year.
Kristen’s Oscars dress was absolutely stunning. However my favorite is the one you picked as the #2 dress on your list-the Elie Saab number. I liked it the most because it was worn during the biggest night for both she and Rob and they both looked fabulous. Not to mention they couldn’t keep their hands or eyes off of each other the entire night and we were perfectly fine with that.
I think the one that Kristen wore when she went to Korea should have made this list, that LBD was gorgeous on her.
@Nix-I really loved that one too. If I went to 10 looks, it totally would have made the list. I also really loved the dress she wore on the Jay Leno show, and her hot pink Doo-Ri dress from the LA Premiere of the Runaways.
I always love all her looks, she always looks gorgeous. If I had to pick one out of the 5, I especially love the Eclipse Premiere, only because of the way her and Rob looked at each other. There were so many wonderful moments between those two, it was a beautiful night.
@Kara Since this list is Top 5 looks, another one would be the new york premiere of Eclipse, although I’m not much of a fan of the dress, her hair and make up was flawless. She looked angelic with that hair style. Don’t you agree?
I really like all of your choices! I might switch out your #5 choice, the Pucci dress as I’m generally not a fan of his dresses. She of course rocked it and her skin looked absolutely amazing. In it’s place I’d probably put the long sleeved dress she wore to the NY Eclipse premier. I liked that it was different and that the very slight red hue in the dress complimented her new strawberry blonde do.
Oh, my top 5 will be: Korea Eclipse premier, David Letterman’s show, New York Eclipse premier, Rome Eclipse premier and Australia Eclipse premier.
Fantastic choices! I agree with all of them, esp the WTTR premiere dress and the Oscars one. One dress I’d like to mention is the full-sleeved, Prabal Gurung short black dress she wore in Seoul during Eclipse promo, with her hair extensions. Girl looked absolutely stunning! Also the Marchesa in Rome and Oscar de la Renta in Stockholm!
