RLC Fic Rec – The Worst of Weather
Remember what we all loved about the original Twilight books? Tortured, vampire Edward struggling like crazy to not drain his beloved, human Bella. Oh the angst! The UST! I love it still! So when I find a fic that has the same qualities, I run to read! That’s exactly what I’m reccing to you today, and it’s called The Worst of Weather.
Author’s synopsis: Bella comes home for Christmas break from her freshman year away at university to be unexpectedly all shaken up. Snideward. Spitefulward. Slightly Darkward.
Exactly what she wrote is exactly what you’ll get. Except it’s darker, more poetic and so very erotic! This is a great read. Edward pushes Bella away because he’s a vamp and her blood sings to him, begs him to drink it. And he is so tortured by it! He’s gone on to ignore Bella as much as possible, and Bella has done what she could to get over him. But when she goes home to the Cullens’ house for Christmas break, thinking Edward wouldn’t be there, drama ensues. Edward tortures her the whole time, treating her like crap, and Bella drinks her broken heart away. Because she is involved with Jacob, not Edward who she begs to take her, cut her, anything as long as he is the one doing it to her. It’s all like a giant build up, and when the dam breaks, it’s oh-so-freaking-good! The great thing about this story is the fact that it is a short one. Only 9 chapters and it is complete! There is an accompanying fic, same length that tells Edward’s POV. I was lucky enough to find this fic because it had recently been recced elsewhere, and now I’m bringing it to you all.
