RLC Fic Rec – One shots by WhatsMyNomDePlume
Lord knows this fandom has a ton of talented men and women. And they keep giving us fic after amazing full-bodied, multi-chaptered fic to read (I love you writers hard for this!) But every once in a while you need a quickie, otherwise known as a one shot! O/S for those of us addicted to internet speak. Anyway, I have found several and all by the writer WhatsMyNomDePlume. They’re all amazing little stories. If you need a break from angst, these one shots are what you should be reading! Perfect and unique in their own way and I know once you read them, you will be feeling all kinds of gooey and happy right after.
*1* Put a Ring On It. Authors synopsis: Edward keeps asking and Bella keeps saying the same thing. But he loves asking and well… she’s starting to kind of like it, too. (Entry for the Will You Marry Me contest) Edward and Bella are total opposites but completely besotted with one another. All he does is ask her to marry him and she keeps turning him down! This o/s is diabetes city, it’s so cute. And Bella’s descriptions of Edwards wardrobe are hilarious.
*2* The Importance of Being Edward. Authors synopsis: Bella Swan knows she kissed a boy last night named Edward. Problem is, she can’t remember much more than that. When she goes looking for him, she finds out Edward is not as rare of a name as she would like. One of my favorite things about this one shot is the fact it takes place in high school. This my favorite scenario for Edward and Bella. I can never read enough about them falling in love in high school. So cute. And there’s a cliffie at the end. Sorta! You’ll have to read it to see what I mean. I, personally, have a Superman take on it!
*3* In Verse & Reverse. Authors synopsis: Edward, Bella and a love story. Told backwards. Some say it’s not the destination that matters, but the journey. The same holds true for some stories and for some people. This is the most unique of one shots. It really is told backwards! And so romantic…
This writer is so great. Her stuff is incredibly smart, funny and so sweet. I said it before, but if I had to read about Edward and Bella falling in love in one way til the end of TwiFics, I would have no problem doing it in her POV. I hope she never tires of our little fandom because she is one helluva contributor to it.
WhatsMyNomDePlume is also currently writing a multi-chaptered fic called Once More, With Feeling and completed another called Legendary. I read Legendary and I will say it’s probably got the best epilogue of any fic I’ve read. Enjoy, peeps! Til next week!
I read tons of Fanfictions and you are definitely right, there are a lot of great writers. I will surely check out your recommendations. And here are some that I am reading ~ Never Bargained for You by SpringHale, The Cullen Sutras by Magnolia 822,The Harder They Fall by Ironic Twist,Parachute by Kitsushel, Dead on My feet by Cesca Marie and more… I am totally an addict for fanfictions. These stories were just few of them I am following. And Awesomesauce76-Last Tango in Forks is so good!You also mentioned Savage 7289,yes, her works are very good too!
