RLC Fic Rec – Let’s Get Physical
The fic I’m reccing today is fairly popular, and I can see why! I’m talking about Let’s Get Physical by Lalina.
Author’s Synopsis: The Goal: Lose 70lbs. The Prize: One steamy night with her personal trainer. When overweight Bella is left by her husband, she is determined to lose weight with the help of Edward Masen. What starts off as payback ends up as so much more. E/B
Now I have to say, the synopsis of this story isn’t the greatest one. For one thing, I think it’s a pretty shallow description of a story that goes much deeper than what it describes. The story starts off with Bella married to James, for 15 years. He walks out on her though b/c Bella now carries 70 pounds that she didn’t have on her when they married. James, being a cheating prick, caused all of that. Once this happens, Bella wakes up and decides to make changes to rub her new body in James’ face. Enter Trainerward. Edward and Bella’s attraction took time to grow and I really liked that about this story. They became friends first and then once that foundation was there, it wasn’t long before romance came along. Another cool thing about this fic is it has a likable Tanya! WTH? I kid you not!
This story is wonderful. It’s really grown up, well written, and when things get steamy? Omagad, get ready! My favorite thing though has to be Edward. There were several times in this fic that Bella is in a couple of bad spots, and I had sympathy heart pangs for her! But Edward comes through for her, proving he’s much more than just a hot body and a pretty face. I compare him with danieller123′s Edwards, minus the kids. Lalina wrote a beautiful Edward. He’s very caring, passionate, smart, and a very well developed character. I have no issues with Bella, but she goes through a lot and overcomes it all only b/c of Edward’s help.
This story is a WIP, so I suggest you hop along for the ride. You won’t regret it!
Also, Lalina is a pretty prolific Twific writer and has several stories under her profile name including the Lion and The Jackal series!
