RLC Fic Rec – The Hood
Ever have a fic you squeal and jump for frigging joy when the update alert hits your inbox? Well I’m about to rec you mine. It’s called The Hood, written by Yogagal.
Authors synopsis: Bella’s crush on quiet Edward Cullen seems to be one sided. But when they start hanging out will things change or does it all stay in The Hood?
So why am I reccing this? How about the fact that it’s fun! The angst is at a minimum, Edward and Bella adore one another. And when they aren’t in school, they hang out at The Hood, getting high and sneaking out to Edwards car to make out. One other cool thing about this fic: you get to relive some of life’s more hilarious “rites of passages” as Edward and Bella go through them. Like body fluids (read the fic, you’ll see), body hair (read the fic, you’ll see) sneaking snacks into the movie theater (oh, c’mon, you know you did!), and liking someone so much you try to be sexy but end up screwing up somehow, yet they don’t care b/c they’re into you so much. Too much goodness I could say about this fic!
The technical stuff: it’s nicely written, it’s got great pacing, and it seems to me the writer is having as much fun with the story as we are with it. Updates are usually weekly. Like I said before, read the fic, you’ll see! You’ll be swooning over it – promise!
