Kstew’s Hottest Co-Stars

Admit it; Kristen has had some pretty smokin’ hot co-stars in her films.  She is a lucky lady!  I’m sure many starlets are jealous of her career in terms of content and its brilliant co-stars. I’m going to highlight my favorite Kristen co-stars who are, in my opinion, not only HOT  but pretty damn talented, too.  I’m really looking forward to who Kristen will be paired up with in her future roles.  She can certainly go toe to toe with any of today’s best actors.

Sorry Rob, but Kris has worked with some major hotties.  While we of course love you best, you’re not the only hunk on Earth.

Ryan Reynolds
So personality-wise, Ryan is a bit of a douche. Having met him years ago in a hotel elevator with then fiancé, Alanis Morisette, I have first-hand experience with the douche-ness factor. However, there is no denying the hotness!! He is massive, with broad shoulders and huge arms.  So toned, and oh so tan.  And those abs! To die for.  Ryan and Kristen had great sexual chemistry in Adventureland. Hot.  I must say that his career has certainly made a turnaround from his days as Van Wilder to now starring as  the lead hero in The Green Lantern. He honestly made me laugh in The Proposal with Sandra Bullock, which I enjoyed tremendously. I’m looking forward to his dramatic turn in Buried, which received excellent reviews at Sundance this year. It will be a great chance for Ryan to really show he’s grown as an actor and can carry a film all by himself.

Jesse Eisenberg
Jesse is more of the “geek” hottie. He’s not your traditional male lead, with a strong  jaw and toned physique. (See Ryan Reynolds) But that is why he worked as the hero in Adventureland.  I thought his portrayal of a recent college grad struggling to find his way was perfect. He reminded me of so many guys I know from home. His scenes with Kristen were adorable, and they definitely had some great chemistry. The kiss at the end was totally swoon-worthy, indeed. I loved him in Zombieland, where he got a chance to be funny and an action hero too.  It’s worth checking out if you haven’t seen it!  I am most excited for Jesse’s upcoming lead role in David Fincher’s The Social Network, aka “The Facebook Movie”. He shows some serious dramatic acting skills.  He will be starring alongside Brit Packer, Andrew Garfield and a little known pop star (wink wink), Justin Timberlake.

Michael Shannon
Michael was in The Runaways with Kristen and blew audiences away as legendary music Svengali Kim Fowley.  His performance was electric. He was mesmerizing on screen, the perfect blend of predator and smooth.  Sexy and vile all at the same time, he created a memorable and award winning performance in my eyes.  He is a veteran character-actor of stage and screen, and was nominated for an Oscar in 2007 for his role in Revolutionary Road with Kate Winslet and Leo DiCaprio.  He was the only cast member to earn a nomination among those heavy hitters.  I am most looking forward to his upcoming role in Martin Scorsese’s highly anticipated new drama on HBO called Boardwalk Empire. Michael is going to be around a long long time.

Garrett Hedlund
Garrett is Kristen’s co-star and lead in On the Road.  He has the classic American boy look with his gorgeous smile, blonde hair and blue eyes. His accent is to die for! He has only been in ten films, but he is fast on the way to becoming a MAJOR movie star.   You may have first seen Garrett in Troy, but like me, you may have been distracted by co-stars Brad Pitt, Eric Bana and Orlando Bloom.  He was also in a terrible film called Georgia Rule with Lindsay Lohan, but Garret sure was hot and sweet as the southern boy taking a liking to Ms. Lohan’s city slicker.  But Garrett is surely set to explode with his role in Disney’s Tron: Legacy, set to open in December.  He is playing “Sam Flynn” along with Olivia Wilde and Oscar winning actor Jeff Bridges. This film is a follow-up to the cult classic, and has expectations to become a major blockbuster.  Garrett is also starring in the upcoming film Country Song with the divine Gwyneth Paltrow (my personal fav!) and Tim McGraw. The flick is already garnering Oscar buzz, and it will be great to see Garrett’s skills against Paltrow’s pedigree. I think Garrett is well on his way to being the next “IT’ in Hollywood.

Sam Riley
Sam is probably the most unknown out of Kristen’s co-stars. He will soon be catapulted into fame once On the Road is released. Sam is best known for his portrayal of Ian Curtis in the movie Control, which is the biopic of the band Joy Division (a Kstew Fav!). He won a British Independent Spirit Award for “Best Newcomer” in 2007, and has been working steadily since. He is a former BURBERRY model, and well, his print ads were beautiful.  He is striking and slightly androgynous looking.   I am interested to see his portrayal of Sal Paradise in On the Road and his chemistry with both Kristen and Garret.

Eddie Redmayne
Oh, Eddie! I have a soft spot for him. His freckles are so damn adorable! This British actor gave an amazing performance as Gordy with Kristen in The Yellow Handkerchief, and may remain one of my favorite co-stars of Stew.  He has such a varied performance background that Eddie seems to pop up everywhere: stage, screen and film.  He played Ken, Mark Rothko’s assistant in Broadway’s Red (with Alfred Molina), which won him a Tony award this year. Eddie has been steadily working in film for over 10 years in some great movies like, my favorite, Elizabeth: The Golden Age with Cate Blanchett, The Good Shepherd with Matt Damon and The Other Boleyn Girl with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johanssen. He was recently in the TV mini-series Pillars of the Earth based on the Ken Folllett novel. Eddie is building great career momentum and is rumored to be talking to Oscar winning director Kathryn Bigelow about a part in her HBO drama series The Miraculous Year, where he’ll play a chorus boy. Again, Eddie will be able to show his diversity by singing and dancing!

James Gandolfini
Ok, some of you are probably asking yourself “Really, James Gandolfini? That big fattie from the ‘Sopranos’ is not hot”. I disagree. First of all, his portrayal of Tony Soprano may just be one of the best roles in Television history.  He made Tony Soprano dangerous, scary, sweet, devoted, loyal, conflicting and manipulative all at once. Any time James was on the screen, I was glued.  When Tony wore a power suit and called the shots, I swooned.   He is a supremely talented actor. He has been in numerous plays and various supporting roles. I don’t think he will ever overcome the magnitude of Tony Soprano, but I am hoping that his role in Welcome to the Rileys will do it for him. I have read the early buzz on the film, and the reviews for James are fantastic. This is the Kristen movie I most want to see.

Emile Hirsch
Emile is somewhat controversial in this fandom. But putting that aside, he is a sublimely talented actor.  I can’t imagine anyone else playing Chris McCandless in Into the Wild. He was amazing in that film.  It is always tough to play a real person, and the fact that so little is known about Chris McCandless journey other than his journal, it’s really a credit to him on what a performance it was. I enjoyed his scenes with Kristen. It provided some lightness in an otherwise very heavy film.  It’s rumored that Emile suggested Kristen to Catherine Hardwicke for Bella in Twilight.  Emile first took me by surprise in Lords of Dogtown, directed by the lovely Ms. Hardwicke as well.  He was equally fantastic playing political activist Cleve Jones in MILK with Sean Penn.  Emile has taken on varied roles and is solidifying his place amongst his peers as one of the best actors. He is slated to star in a remake of Hamlet, and I am interested to see if he is going to pull it off. Emile is going to be around a very long time.

This was such a fun post to read! A couple douches in there, but I like that you pointed out their positive points. lol And I’m so glad you included James Gandolfini in the list of “hot” co-stars! Your assessment of him was dead on. I swooned over Tony Soprano many times.

Sigh…LOVE it! I love that someone finally blogged about how hot her costars are–I agree! A couple of my earlier favorites include jamie bell(her first British love interest in undertow) and Anton Yelchin(who was also in Star Trek after doing fierce people). So many cute boys, so little time to enjoy them!

oh and ps: I laughed so hard about the doucheness you experienced w/ Ryan Reynolds. My friend had a mildly unpleasant experience near him in LA a couple years back too. lol

Sorry, but the “blind Robsten disorder” (I am not referring to any page, it’s real), it is understandable … and if they show the talents of co-stars, that’s fine, but more like a note dedicated to fans slugs, which are drooling and go to the cinema to see movies just for the physical aspect of actors and not by other reasonable down (removing superficial aspects).

Physical beauty: I don’t know if it will ever get better than K, Garrett, & Sam in OTR.

But I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Jesse. He’s just adorable.

I am not digging Garret, He’s to masculine for me. *covering myself for the attack* but! Eddie now there is a very handsome man(I can look at him forever, and at the same time listen to him talk that will undo me). I adore Emile(he’s a unique hobo on his on), Ryan R.*insert eye roll* I can’t think anything to say to him except he has a 8-pack in the pic. And Sam R., I have to google him or see one of his movie to say something. But, all in all Kristen is one lucky actress to work, meet with this kind of actors. And she is only 20 y.o.!

RobstenLover: Fantastic post baby! I agree Ryan Reynolds is a total douche, but looking at him is divine. I <3 all of those guys.

you didn’t add TommyStu! I love him like I love sunshine and WiFi internet connection (Note: second after Rob) . I love how he can pull wearing his duckies and tulips sweater with a suit jacket and old sneakers and still look sweet! I wanna put him in my pocket and protect him from the horrors of the world.
    healsohasaveryhotbehindjustsoyouknowandIcanprovideevidenceintheformofgifs!
I also have a great deal of love for Sam Riley and for Eddie Redmayne…not a fan of Garrett’s looks but he has a nice voice/accent, I guess I can see what people like in him, but he doesn’t do it for me :S. I have a “ehhhhhh” reaction every time people mention Emile Hirsch :S do not want! It’s not even that people say he’s a douche…it was before that :S I’d play World of Warcraft with Jesse :D

Please, you are still with superficial aspects (OK, cherry!), Well we play the same game: Does anyone think it occurred in the three best three co-stars Kristen Stewart?
“My personal track ” Look at cherry “…
    Does anyone else?

Awesome post RL! When you add up Kristen’s co-star list it turns out to be quite a beautiful dossier..like I’ve always said – lucky, lucky Stew!

Ok Sammy. I am still not quite sure what you are talking about. This was a light hearted post number 1. Number 2, I think I balanced our your so called “superficial” attributes with each person’s professional credits and accolades. I think you are taking this a little too seriously.
