Separation Anxiety
I’m going on vacation for a week starting Saturday. This is a welcome holiday. Chonga and I are going to get to meet in real-life and fangirl together for the very first time! I’m going to see my mother, and I haven’t seen her in almost a year. I’ve learned something about myself since we began this little adventure of running a couple of websites: between my real job and this, I’m something of a workaholic. Who knew?
Chonga would not let you down and will have her “of the day” series of posts to entertain you. But unless something marvelous happens, the article-type posts won’t resume until I get back. I haven’t gone away for any real period of time since we started the sites. I feel a little bit like a mother leaving her baby with someone else for the weekend for the very first time. I have no reason to worry; Chonga and the rest of our staff will have things well in hand. But I don’t even know if there will be any kind of internet access where I’m going, so the thought of not being able to check-in is making me a little twitchy.
Plus I caught these h00rs plotting behind my back about what they’re going to do while I’m gone. If you get KY all over the California King DKMulder I. will. totally. end. you.

C2R: About how leaving your baby home when you go away for the first time is hard lol I haven’t gone away for an extended period since we started the sites. Except for that one camping weekend. Where I didn’t have internet access I mean I might not while I’m there I don’t know

happilyeverafter: we’ll be fine. and Chonga will be here, right? we’re in good hands!
DKmulder: yeah, we won’t throw too big a party
happilyeverafter: just a 5-kegger, small intimate gathering
DKmulder: and we’ll hire cleaners to come in afterwards
happilyeverafter: you’ll never know what happened
DKmulder: and whatever we break… um, we’ll blame it on the unicorns
happilyeverafter: LOL good plan
DKmulder: *high fives HEA* when mom’s away, the kids will play
