Wishes Do Come True
We made a lot of wishes for what we wanted to see in the New Year in regard to Rob & Kristen. However we never expected any of those wishes to come true on New Years Day!!! It started out like any other New Years: half-fall out of bed around mid-morning and wish for death, drink a half-gallon of water straight out of the jug after swallowing an Aleve. Then I powered up the computer and did the first thing I do almost every day, which is check the New Pics Thread for the week.
My husband said then that he thought I was having a seizure because I stiffened up in my chair, grabbed two fist-fulls of my own hair, and squealed out loud…
…because this is what I found:
Click Here to see where they were originally posted on the forum and the bedlam that ensued after. The pics were posted by a new member of the forum (lindazj) and it was their first post. Best. First. Post. Ever. If for some reason you don’t know why these pics are significant (and seriously, then how did you get here?), they prove that Stew is in the UK with Rob. With presumably no other reason to be there other than to be with Rob.
I managed to regain control of myself and immediately pulled-up Twitter. I thought for sure people had to be talking about them and would have more information. There was nothing. I couldn’t believe it! Were we the only site that had them? So I tweeted the link to the thread referenced above, and Twitter exploded. Apparently we were the only site that had them at that point. Totally unexpected!!!
Over the next couple of days we received mention for scooping R/K in the UK not only on the beloved fan-sites and blogs, but from Marc Malkin at E! Online and Socialite Life. Thanks for that, by the way. The most amusing thing that has happened due to these pics was receiving an email from a Picture Editor from OK! Magazine Australia yesterday morning:
We would love to run the shot of Rob & Kristen posing with fan in our upcoming issue. The shots will be used in a positive way and would obviously be happy to pay a usage fee if needed. We were hoping to get the OK to go ahead and use the shots. And if there was any way of getting hires images emailed over, that would be fantastic.

Good Morning,
I just received your contact form on the site. While it’s awfully nice of you to ask me permission to use the picture, it’s not necessary to ask me. I don’t own the copyright to those pics. I imagine the 13 year old girl who took them does. They were posted on my site by a new member, who was emailed the pics by someone close to the little girl I believe. I was just the first person to have them on their site and tweet them. So no permission and no useage fee necessary, and I don’t have high res versions.
I have a hard time believing OK magazine is going to use them in a positive way, however I guess we’ll see when the article comes out. I’ll try to stay optimistic

We don’t make any money off our sites. In fact, they cost us money. But in the grand scheme of things this is a way cheaper hobby than some I’ve been involved in, and we’re having a lot of fun. If we had owned the pictures or taken them or whatever we still wouldn’t have sold them to anyone. Especially not rags that print vile and awful untruths about Rob and Kristen. We are their fans. We love and admire both of them, and it wouldn’t feel right to profit off of their relationship.
We would still have to post them on our site, however. Because we just can’t resist the squee

God bless that sweet, precious little girl and her guts to ask them for a picture. And God bless okay magazine and make them feel guilty if they use this in any way deceptive or misleading. And God bless RL.com, because we aren't fan-turned-paps and don't accept money from sleazy rag mags to try and turn a cheap profit

the reason i found this site was because of those delicious pics! so thanks to rob and kristen and of course the cute little british girl.
I woke up that morning, grabbed my coffee, opened my laptop saw your tweet almost immediately. I squeed so loud I almost woke up the rest of my house! Best best best new years surprise. Love that little fan so much. Your blog is great keep up the good work.

Oh I was the first to wake up in my household so I couldn't even squee out loud. I was laying in the bed and checked Twitter on my iPhone and practically was
throwing punches in the air and mouthing silent, "Yes! Yes!" to myself. That was one of the best New Year's Day of my life.
