Fic Rec Thursday!
I love to read. Mostly romance, but I manage to squeeze in some history in there as well. You can imagine what happened once I stumbled upon Twilight, thanks to my best friend. I was hooked! I devoured all 4 books in a week, I was captivated with the story and once the Twilight movie machine started cranking out photo shoots, I was really done for. Navigating my way through the fandom, I kept hearing “fan fiction, fan fiction.” What the hell? What was it? I didn’t even want to find out. I didn’t want anything to taint the reading experience of the Twilight books. How could anyone else write Edward the way Stephenie had? I held out on reading fan fiction as long as I could. But eventually, caved b/c of two little letters AH. ALL HUMAN. This was my loop hole! I was after the initial high the Twilight books gave me and boy did I stumble upon fan fiction junkie heaven. It’s been about 6 months since I started reading them. I have only bought one book since. Me! The avid reader, inhaling books so fast I would sell them on ebay b/c I ran out of storage space! It didn’t take long before I started pimping them out to friends. That’s what a junkie does right? Drag others into their seedy world? That is what I am doing here. If you’re here too chances are you’re hooked as well. We all know about Wide Awake, The Office, The Submissive/The Dominant (which I am currently working my way through..long story), the BIG ONES. I know, I know! You need more right? I’m getting there, patience. Every week, I’ll show my name and rec a fic. And I’ll do my best to decorate it!

Talk about angst. Angst galore, people! Edward and Bella have traumatic pasts that have really messed them up. Naturally, they are not so happy to open up their feelings to one another in the name of love. The story takes place in San Francisco. A Berkeley library, specifically, which is where both Edward and Bella work. Edward also has a bit of a substance abuse problem. Bella is his light at the end of the tunnel. How much better could this get??
As I said before, it is a very angsty ride, but it pays off. Very nice lemons. I chose this as my first rec because I feel this fic is under the radar and this writer could turn out to be something pretty special. But that’s just me! Let me know if you agree!

i've never read this one either so i'll be reading that one too and i'm totes not a big ass reader before but now, ff is like chocolate to me
