This is the author’s synopsis: Bella is quickly on her way to being a married woman, but what happens when she questions her commitment? And whats more, what happens when Edward enters the picture??
I absolutely adore this fic! It is realistic and so very sweet. What I like about this story though is that the writer takes the characters seriously, thinking everything through. She is not just being reckless b/c it’s her story and she can make them do whatever she wants. Bella was conflicted long before she met Edward, who is a bookstore owner and a free spirit. But spending time with him highlights her confusion. She had conformed herself to her fiancee, Mike, and what she felt she should be like. Edward realizes Bella’s predicament but he is as respectful to her as he can be. He sees what a difficult place she is in and does what he can to not make it worse, despite their attraction to one another. Mike is wealthy, successful and not the bad guy – had he been would be predictable. But, he just isn’t right for Bella. Or is he?
Most of the story takes place in Seattle but B/E are currently spending time in Chicago.
This fic is a work in progress, so of course final decisions have not been made. But I know how I want it to end! This fic is rated M, for language and lemons. It was also nominated for Best Alternate Universe Human WIP at the Indie TwiFic Awards. Link here.
Ok I finally read this one (lol) couldn't comment until I did. Not bad! The whole Mike & Bella thing kinda skeeves me out of course but Edward is as usual…perfect.
